But wait, that’s not all…

You aren’t even sure if there is a desk in that corner you call your home office.  You wonder, Did I pay the cell phone bill and car payment this month?  Wait, did I even see the cell phone bill or car payment this month??  And so it goes as you begin to search frantically for the dog’s shots record so they’ll let him be in the obedience class tomorrow.  Yeah, that’s the problem, the dog.  If only the dog were trained, then things would be better.  But the reality is it isn’t the dog, or the cat, or the kids, or your spouse, or your boss.  No, you know.  The blame for this disaster lies squarely on your shoulders – a burden you carry with you each waking moment, and now, even in those nightmares that have started.

And that’s when it happens – the brief moment of sanity when you decide you can and will take control and get organized.  Your first glance is to the eternal mountain of papers that have somehow landed on your desk for you to “take care of”.  You daydream for a moment, what would it be like, to have a REAL desk – one with a place to actually get some work done…

And so it begins, you start spreading out the papers into piles – the telephone bill, the car loan, various notes from school, paystubs from work….an hour goes by and the floor is now littered with piles.  And not just piles but piles on top of piles on top of piles, when the phone rings.  You climb out of your self-induced pit f paper and tend to the call that seems to breed interruptions seemingly every five minutes.  Before you know it, the day has vanished amongst phone calls, errands, kids and dogs running through your well-intentioned piles and you can’t even remember where you put anything.

Desperate to reclaim some peace and a pathway to the bathroom, you bundle everything back up, pile on top of pile, and put it back on the eternal mountain where it rightfully belongs.  You are exhausted, frustrated, overwhelmed, and ever-shameful.  Another day gone.  Good intentions, no progress.  You think, I’ll never be organized.  I can never do this.  Is this the misery that has become my life??

Hi Dina!

Well, my husband called me at my sisters the second he got home :) He is really, really happy with everything. I am shocked!! I can't thank you enough. My kids love their room.
